Ali's Bowling Alley

For those of you who are "in the know," it isn't news that Ali's Bowling Alley has been open for special events and Saturdays as of late. Owned by Findlay businessman Mike Mallett (also the owner of Corporate Research International, Oak Mallett Golf Club and the downtown parking garage), it wasn't surprising to see an article in The Courier extolling its virtues. However, this being "Findlay Eats Out!" and not "Findlay Bowls Out!," there was one particular paragraph in the article that caught our eye:
Mallett has reopened the former Recreation Lanes bowling alley at 132 E. Crawford St., known as the Hosler Building. The bowling alley, now called Ali's, is open two days a week and for special occasions. By summer it will be open full time and serving food and alcohol.

Now, if we know anything about Mr. Mallett's past ventures, we can safely say that the food they serve at Ali's will probably be a bit more sophisticated than the fare over at the Sportsman Lanes. Our interest is definitely piqued; we'll be sure to review Ali's as soon as we hear the kitchen is up and running.

Visit Ali's online or check out their Facebook Page.
