Grand Opening: Royal Buffet

Many of you were probably disappointed to see Ryan's Steak House close its doors, as were we.  Sitting vacant for quite some time now, the old building should be seeing a great deal of traffic in the near future.  This Tuesday, March 16th, the property will be host to the grand opening of the Royal Buffet.

With a ribbon-cutting ceremony to take place at 10:30am courtesy of Greater Findlay, Inc., the Royal Buffet is ambitious in its offerings.  Self-described as "The Largest and Most Elegant Chinese, Japanese, & American Cuisine Restaurant," they advertise that they will be carrying over 150 items on their buffet bar- including a hibachi section where you can pick and choose to make up your own dish at no additional charge.  Here's a short list of some of the items they will be serving:
  • Rib Eye Steak
  • Salmon
  • Butter Shrimp
  • Crab Meat
  • Cheese
  • General Tso's Chicken
  • A Wide Selection of Sushi
  • Various Salads and Desserts
We'll be interested to see how they rate in comparison to the Hong Kong Buffet right down the street, which also carries a similar selection.  The prices are similar, running $6.50 for an Adult Lunch Buffet and $9.99 for an Adult Dinner Buffet (with lower, tiered prices for children of different ages).

Located at 2551 Tiffin Ave. (across from the old Wal-Mart and next to Applebee's), they will be open Sunday-Thursday from 11am-10pm and Friday-Saturday from 11am-10:30pm.  They can be reached for large-party reservations at 419-420-0888.
