Findlay To Gain A Second Arby's

For those of you who are always "Thinking Arby's," there is great news on the horizon:

Findlay will receive a $221,000 grant from the state to pay for machinery and equipment for an Arby's restaurant to be built this summer in front of Meijer, 2200 Tiffin Ave.

The state is granting the money because the restaurant is expected to employ 16 people full time, the State Development Department reported.

Fifteen of the jobs will be available for low- and moderate-income people.

A site plan for the restaurant, just west of Spruce Court and on the north side of Tiffin Avenue, was approved last November by the Findlay City Planning Commission.

This also means that you won't have to drive so far to get curly fries if you're out by the mall...mmmm...curly fries.

Will this be going in where Fazoli's used to be located?

From what it seems (given the address) it looks as if it will be built in the outer area of the Meijer parking lot-much like Cheddar's or the Meijer Gas Station.

I'm pretty sure its right there in the actual parking lot area in front of meijer... out near the grassy area there is a big sign out there advertising parcels of land for building on...(I think)

I wish they'd put a Sonic Drive-in out there! MMMM can you say cherry limeades???

The rumor is, Sonic is looking to open a drive-thru location in front of Dunham Suites. If that location doesn't work out, they are still very interested in joining our market in the next 2 years.

That would be so awesome if Sonic does decide to come to Findlay :)

Why would the state give a fast food restaurant chain, or any restaurant chain, a grant for $200,000? Because it creates 16 full time jobs? I'm all about creating jobs and i like Arby's, but that's a waste.
