Restaurant Jobs for 8-11-2010
We know it's been a while since we posted anything for all of you prospective food service workers, but as summer draws to a close we recognize that the need for work is ever-present. As such, here is what we've found for you today-and it's full of management-level opportunities!:
Vito's Pizza is now hiring for the position of General Manager. Pay commensurate with experience. Non-smokers preferred, drug testing required. Email resume to barbcb@bex.net or apply in person at 1500 N. Main St. (in the Family Video plaza).
McDonald's is now hiring a Restaurant Shift Manager. Must be 18 years of age or older, and must be able to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidays. Apply in person at 731 Trenton Ave. or online at CareerBuilder.com.
Bob Evans is now hiring for the position of Restaurant Assistant Manager. Applications are currently only being accepted online at CareerBuilder.com.
Chipotle Mexican Grill is now hiring for the following positions: Service Manager, Front Line Crew Members, Kitchen Manager, and Grill Crew Members. Apply in person at 15067 US Route 224 (by the Verizon Store and Olive Garden) or apply online at SnagAJob.com.
We've said it before, and we'll say it again-there must be something terrifying about working at Chipotle Mexican Grill, because we are pretty sure they have been hiring for these same positions at least once a month for the last year. Being the General Manager at Vito's Pizza must not be a very rewarding experience, either-from what we've heard, they've gone through three GM's this year so far! If any of you have any insight into either of these workplaces please share it with our job hunters in the Comments section.

Carryout from AJ's Heavenly Pizza
For a town of 36,000 (approx.), there are an unusual amount of pizza shops around. A.J.'s Heavenly Pizza is a relative newcomer to the Findlay area, opening up earlier this year. It's located in the strip mall just south of the Trenton/Main intersection.
I haven't stepped into the place since it was the old Hot Diggity Donuts from the early 90's. The location is remodeled well, seating about 15 people or so. There was also a large TV to watch, as you ate. I watched a little of it, as I waited for my to go order.
Before I talk about the pizza, I wanted to make special note the service was very friendly. He was polite and respectful from start to finish. I was very impressed. However, the pizza was pretty basic. The crust reminded me of a pizza place primarily located in college towns called "Gumby's." The sauce was spicy, but a little sweeter than I care for it to be. It wasn't a bad pie, but I have a few other places in town I like better. The one thing I can say is there was only pizza sauce for dipping. That's a refreshing thought, because sauces like ranch have no business being near my pizza.
AJ's Heavenly Pizza is located at 1404 North Main St. (in the plaza on the Southwest corner of Trenton Ave.). They are open Sun.-Thurs. from 3pm to 10pm and Fri.-Sat. from 3pm to Midnight. To place an order for carryout or delivery, they can be reached at 419-423-7494, and you can find out more at AJsHeavenlyPizzaFindlay.com.

Sorry We've Been So Quiet!
I'm sure you've all noticed that we have slowed down to a near standstill here at the Findlay Eats Out! blog, as well as on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. We would like to apologize, and place the blame squarely where it belongs: On this gorgeous, sunny summer.
We just haven't been able to bring ourselves to spend all day in front of the computer when there are barbecues, bonfires, and outdoor fun calling our names. We promise to try and at least pick back up a bit, especially in the areas of Job Listings and Restaurant Reviews.
